Got Courage?

I believe it takes great courage to live hope. Are you up for the challenge? It takes great courage to hope because there are so many signs that our culture is growing in wickedness and destruction. Pundits and newscasters love to point out all that’s wrong in our world, how this thing or that under our kitchen sink can harm us. How what might happen could ruin everything.

Yes, we must remain vigilant and aware, but I believe these days are calling us to catch a Godly vision for how things can be. Hope casts a great vision for how our lives can reveal the beauty and glory of God. But not only does hope cast that vision, it works to bring it to life. It stays focused on that vision, allowing our steps to be guided by it. I believe that God is asking me to help build his kingdom of love here on Earth. But it requires me to move into dark places where there doesn’t appear to be much love or hope. Hang on to the vision. God will guide you and equip you to do his hope-building work.
