Do you feel less than?
Do you feel outcast?
Do you feel that people treat you like there’s something wrong with you?
Do you wonder if there’s a manual for “how to do life” that you never got?
Do you long for God to make you different so you’ll fit in more?
Let’s let go of fitting in.
Let’s let go of being normal.
Let’s let go of wanting everyone to like us.
Let’s let go of wishing we were different.
Let’s let go of thinking God made a mistake…
And instead…
Can we come alongside of each other and hold hands,
Wrap our arms around each other,
Pick each other up when we fall?
Can we cook meals, take out the trash,
Write letters to, pray for,
Sing to, laugh with…each other?
Can we sit and listen?
Nod and affirm.
And even when it’s more comfortable to walk away,
Can we choose to stay?
And admire the beauty of God’s handiwork on display as we do.
Can we?
