Headsup: Free Christmas CDs offer just below
Welcome to November!
Here in Minnesota we are experiencing the most amazing Fall. Just when I thought I became a Summer person this year, here am I saying the same thing about Fall. Warm temps this week are going to be cherished, in anticipation of snow forecasted for next week. I’ve also been loving post-season baseball (which may or may not be over by the time you read this!). And I’m not pleased to report that my most unfavorite souvenir from my trip to New York City is a bummer of a cold. A batch of my mom’s tater tot hotdish hit the spot today. Thanks, Mom!
I’m wondering when you start listening to Christmas music? Some people wait until after Halloween, while others wait until after Thanksgiving. Some even wait until December 25th, as that marks the start of 12 days of Christmas for certain liturgical calendar followers!
I love Christmas music and will begin putting together my favorites and new ones to listen to over the next couple of months. I’m a big fan of the classics: Dean Martin, Andy Williams, and the such. I also love Mannheim Steamroller, the Carpenters, and Michael W. Smith’s first Christmas project.
You might know that Christmas has always been a big deal for me and my own music. I toured my “Hope of Christmas” tour for nearly a decade—those concerts were always such great fun—especially getting audience members up on stage to help out with “Jingle Bell Swing.” Over those years, I recorded three Christmas albums which can be downloaded or streamed anywhere you listen to music, e.g. Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube. And it all started with one song. I was thrilled to have my song “Emmanuel (You Are With Me)” used in the Christmas film “The Perfect Gift,” in which I also acted as the film’s antagonist! People all over the world watch this film every year. I love getting emails form people who connect with the message of the song, and are surprised that I play the bad guy!
Would you like copies all three of my Christmas albums? FOR FREE? I’m grateful that you’re a reader of my newsletter and would love to put copies of my Christmas CDs into your hands. I only ask for you to simply pay shipping & handling charges ($5.99).

Feel free to look around, too, as you might find other stocking stuffers for friends or family, like the one-year hardcover devotional, the Live Hope Minute. I’m super grateful for any support you’re able to offer!
Here’s a live performance of one of my mission statement tunes that I wrote with my friend Chris Davis. (the makeup job on my beard cracks me up! and this was super early in the morning—I was so tired!)
I don’t want to keep you long, but maybe something to keep in mind over the coming weeks is that while you might not get to choose what happens to you, you always get to choose how you’re going to respond to what happens to you. When you see other people getting worked up in a frenzy of expectations and to-do lists surrounding the holidays, remember to take care of yourself in a little extra special way. I’d love to hear what that might mean for you. Escaping to the peace and quiet of good music is one of my most favorite ways.
I look forward to hearing from you about the Christmas CDs offer! Thanks for being part of my journey. Life is full of goodness and beauty, and sometimes we have to work extra hard to see it. Let’s keep doing that together.
