Many of us feel like outsiders, that we don’t quite fit into the norm. We’re ok with that, but we wonder if life would be easier if we did. God loves you so much.
Many of us feel like we’re not good enough. We’ve been told to try harder, do more, be better, be happier, clean up our act, and then we’ll be accepted by the group and invited to contribute our gifts. God loves you so much.
Many of us have been told we need to stop being the way we are. We’ve been told to be more like this or that. Be less this or that. Don’t be so loud, or don’t be so quiet. Don’t be a sinner, be like us. God loves you so much. And God understands.
In Jesus—God-with-flesh-on—we have a champion who experienced all these things, so we can know that sometimes those on the outside, the ones who aren’t doing what everyone else is doing, just might hold the key to the heart of God.
