I'm so thankful when people take a chance on me and post something I've written about my mission of hope. Here's a little collection of some recent things I've found... Thanks so much to publicists Jackie Medina with BroadStreet and Lori Heiselman of Biscuit Media Group for these placements.

THE CHRISTIAN POST:
I'm On My Way To Hope If you're anything like me, sometimes you feel like there's nothing happening in your life...and perhaps nothing ever will. The dreams that you've been holding onto are slipping through your fingers. The hopes of some kind of breakthrough professionally or relationally are gradually drifting out to sea, leaving a tangleweed of cynicism behind for you to trudge through. Continue Reading -->
Four Lies That Crush Your Hope I love the promise of a new year. It's as if I'm being handed a clean slate from God asking, "What would you like your life to look like?" I begin filled with boundless hope with great intentions of new projects I want to tackle or new relationships to pursue. But to be honest, as the days peel off the calendar, it gets more and more tempting to settle into the comfort of the familiar, rather than focus on these adventurous, courage-requiring goals. It's like hope just slips away, no matter my plans. It's during these times I find it helpful to identify what are the false beliefs that I let creep in and what is the truth I can use as a weapon to disintegrate them. Continue Reading -->

Finding Contentment Through Rearranging Furniture Do you want to do this New Year differently? Same here. See, I'm a big fan of rearranging furniture. You know, changing things up a bit? Moving a table here, or a lamp there. Even facing the bed a new direction can give a needed lift in the vibe of my home. I believe it's extremely important to love where you live, to feel extremely comfortable, and oddly enough, also be energized by your surroundings. Continue Reading-->

A 3-Ingredient Recipe For Hope That Never Fails You I have come up with an easy plan that has helped me tremendously to get back to hope when it slips away from me—which usually happens when I forget one of these elements I'm going to share with you. These help me remember what I truly believe and how I want those beliefs to guide my life. This is cut-to-the-core Christianity. And I believe this will help you, too, regardless of how "spiritual" you want to be. Continue Reading-->
The Sad Reason So Many Christians Place Their Hope In This False Security Growing up in the church has given me a beautiful foundation to learn about life lived for other people. It has taught me a great deal about how our lives are riddled with meaning and purpose, rather than the chaos and turmoil that threaten to define our days. But I also believe it set me up to learn a twisted perspective on hope. The hope I learned was based in all the good things God was going to do for me, as long as I kept doing right things. Being a Christian was about doing good things, and not doing the bad things. Continue Reading-->

The Spiritual Truth Behind Giving Gifts Christmas is a crazy, beautiful time of year. I love listening to carols, especially the old classics. I also love looking at lights and elaborate decorations and being together with family and friends. But looking back over the multitudes of Christmases, the best part has always been the hope of what presents I might get. I loved making wish-lists as a kid. Going through the big Sears toy catalog and picking out what looked the most awesome. It didn't always get what I wanted, even though I admit I was completely spoiled. I received more than I needed, certainly. Continue Reading -->
