Welcome To the "Saving My Faith" Podcast
About This Podcast
I want to hang onto my faith…even though it’s taken quite a beating over the years. Organized religion can be a messy and painful mistress—promising love and connection, and instead offering hypocrisy and shame. Even still, I don’t want to throw the Baby Jesus out with the bathwater. There’s still so much excellent wisdom within Christianity that can truly revolutionize our world. I want to help fight through the clutter and find the really good stuff. I want to save my faith, and maybe help save it for others, too.

A Little More About Me
I’ve made a career being a hope-based creative person. Whether I’m hosting this podcast, doing a live event in a church or a prison, writing books or my blog, or producing my daily radio feature, the “Live Hope Minute,” I’m committed to shining the light of hope into the world. I know that many people are struggling to find hope these days—I absolutely get that. My quest to equip others to be people of hope, despite circumstances that fight against it, fuels all my creative projects.
I have been kicked out and shut out of places that I had hoped would be safe spaces. But I still believe God is with me and mysteriously working in my life, other people, and every other piece of our world. I’m convinced that the more we broadcast this great love to each other the better off we’ll all be. But I’ve had to do some reframing—looking at my spiritual life as being more rooted in love and hope, rather than fear and shame.
