What Song Are You Singing?
You Are Creating Music As You Respond To Life
Hi Friend! Have you ever been to Minnesota in April? It’s kind of strange in that one day might be 60 degrees outside and everyone is out walking their dogs, wearing shorts and t-shirts. Then the next day it could be 35 degrees and snowing. I’m not one to complain about the weather…or gas or milk prices…cause, what can you do about it? Nada.
The up and down-ness of the weather can feel a bit similar to life. We can’t control what happens to us, or around us, and maybe not even inside of us. But we can control how we respond to it all. I believe we are all singing a song with our lives—a song of response. I refuse to have my song be one of complaint, but instead, one of peace, gratitude, love, and yes, hope. Try thinking about this next time you are tempted to complain about something.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE
I’m so thrilled with the response I’ve been getting to my brand new Conversation Series (aka podcast) “Saving My Faith.” I hope these conversations with people I admire are eye-opening and challenging, as I explore deeper the concept of how to live out our beliefs in an ever-changing culture. You can listen for FREE by clicking “read more” just below or wherever you listen to podcasts; places like Apple Podcasts or Spotify. This is the latest episode…
I’d greatly appreciate if you’d consider subscribing, liking, sharing, and spreading the word about “Saving My Faith.” I believe we can do a lot of good in the world. Thanks for your help!
“For a very long time I considered low self-esteem to be some kind of virtue. I had been warned so often against pride and conceit that I came to consider it a good thing to deprecate myself. But now I realize that the real sin is to deny God’s first love for me, to ignore my original goodness. Because without claiming that first love and that original goodness for myself, I lose touch with my true self and embark on the destructive search among the wrong people and in the wrong places for what can only be found in the house of my Father.” —Henri Nouwen
